The Korea University (KU) Office of International Affairs is recruiting Buddies for the 2014 International Summer Campus (ISC) program. During the summer program, the Buddies will aid foreign college students to get used to and be familiar with Korea and campus life. In addition, Buddies will attend various events hosted as a part of the ISC program, including day trips and orientation. In addition, they will take part in several individual and group events to further interact with foreign college students. Buddies will be in activity from June 28 to August 7.

Students who take part as Buddies will be awarded a certificate proving their honorary participation in the program. In addition, they will be awarded with bonus points in registering as transfer students. All ISC events, including touring around the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), spending a day at Lotte World, and watching the musical Nanta, are freely provided for Buddies by the program administration.

Saud Alshiha (’13, Business), a foreign student expressed his opinions about international students and KU. “KU does a great job in helping international students become an integrated part of the campus. That is why many international students choose to atted this college. I think this Buddy program is also part of that overall attempt.”

Applications are open until May 29, 5:00P.M., and should be sent online to iscbuddy@naver.com after filling out the appropriate form. For more information, contact the program administration via phone 3290-1598 or check the KU portal website.
