It is finally the day of the blind date that you have been waiting for and you wish to make the greatest impression on your partner. You would put on your favorite clothes along with carefully chosen shoes and bag and check your final look in the mirror before departure. Among many, there would be one particular item that you especially care about. Although all of us naturally and instinctively prefer to look beautiful, its factors and standards for this differ from person to person. Which part of yourself do you care abouat the most?

It is my voice that I care about the most when meeting people. I think the way one speaks to another greatly influences his or her impression. Because I, myself, am simply attracted by those who speak clearly in a nice voice, I try my best to do so. I also try to speak as slowly as possible because I think it helps people to understand me better. Currently, I do not think that my pronunciation is perfect so I am continuously trying to improve it.

I think the most important part that decides my final look is make-up. My confidence greatly depends on whether I wear make-up, especially when I talk to people close up. Wearing make-up covers up the flaws that I personally want to hide on my face. Moreover, by wearing make-up, I can make the parts of my face such as my eyes, eyebrows, and lips look neater and clearer. I think it also helps me to look healthier as well.

I care about minor parts of myself such as my beard and nose hair. Clothes and hair are certainly quite influential but compared with them, I think minor parts show others better about one’s self management. Since it takes time and effort to take care of these things meticulously, those with a neat beard and nose hair seem to be good at self-management.

I consider my hair style and clothes important because they are the parts that I can make a lot of changes to. While it is hard to change my face, height, or body shape, it is possible to easily change my hairstyle and clothes. If I want some change in style, they are the parts that first come to mind.
