The Office of General Education’s biannual project called “University Plus” will be ready to receive applications soon. University Plus is a project that is run under Korea University’s (KU) Office of Academic Affairs, which includes a series of lectures given by professionals in areas including sports, music, photography, etiquettes and international relations. Valuable lectures were given to the students since the first semester of 2012.

“University Plus project will help students acquire competence, creativity, sensibility, and manners,” says the Office of Academic Affairs. University Project also allows debating in one of its series of lectures where audiences are allowed to participate, along with a panel of invited speakers.

There are five lectures in a series of University Plus lectures every semester. Each lecture fits one of the five themes. For instance, through Crimson Etiquette, students are given lectures on everyday etiquettes; through Onsemiro, students are given the opportunity to experience fusion of various fields of study; through Nanuri Dialogue, students can participate in debates with panelists; through People•Hope, prominent speakers suggest ways of life to the students; and through Schole, experts give special lectures on things like coffee, fashion and wine.

The application for University Plus lectures are accepted two weeks prior to each lecture. Anyone completing the whole series will also receive a certificate.
