Starting on Monday October 7, the College of Liberal Arts hosted a number of events including the Open Student Room Event. The classes offered at this event were Spanish Language and Literature and History, including both Asian History and European History. The main theme of this event was travel.

Each of the three classes provided a special activity for students that suited each class’s characteristics. The Spanish class decorated their student room to resemble Spain and provided simple food and drinks to visitors. The Asian History class opened a mini-game heaven system where students could play traditional Korean games. Lastly, the European History class opened a tarot café where people had to pay only 1,000 won for one card slot. Physiognomy, which is the prophetic art of judging character from appearance, was also provided by the European History class.

The event ended with a student body council booth that took the form of an immigration checkpoint. This was a part of the event’s theme—travel. The College of Liberal Arts is hosting a Noctober Festival starting from this Monday. The Open Student Room Event was a signal for the start of the Noctober Festival.

The festival aims to bring unity to students from the College of Liberal Arts. The Liberal Arts Student Council is planning many more activites to be held.
