Korea University’s (KU) one of the most renowned student clubs, Korea University Buddy Assistant (KUBA) members disclosed a flea market and a photo exhibition in People’s Square. KUBA is primarily known to support transfer and international students with their major difficulties in adjusting to KU, but it also prepares a lucrative opportunity, as in flea market, to aid in funding for the ones who need.

Kim Won Jun (12, English Language Education), a member of KUBA, said “It is definitely one of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to collect money to help other people who really need support. Moreover, I believe that the idea of opening a flea market both benefits the customer and the seller. The customer receives an item in such a cheap price that they are truly happy about it. The seller senses hope when there is enough money to fund.”

KUBA not only sold clothes but also they prepared snacks for bored students who were eager in finding refreshment. Also, besides the flea market, there was a photo exhibition they showed the dedication of KUBA members. Another student Son Na Young (13, Liberal Arts), said “It is just like in the United States that students organize their own bazaar and collect money to aid in funding. It is just fantastic.”

Fantastic as it was, KUBA opened its flea market and photo exhibition from 10:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M from May 14 to 15.
