The event was not in a form of a lecture but rather in a form of an interview where Park answered questions that were prepared and posted by KU students before the event. Park sat down on stage to answer the questions. Many questions asked him about his newest film, Stoker, that Nicole Kidman has starred in. He shared his experiences in the American film industry, saying, “I learned to humble myself and constantly communicate with other people to improve my work even further than I could have myself.” There were also questions about when the director himself was a college student. He explained that books were what inspired and educated him to become a director, saying, “There were no film-related classes in the university that I attended. Books, and books alone, helped me find my friends and pursue my dream.” Covering topics from film aesthetics, filmography, to casual life, Park answered the students’ questions with humor and gusto.

Ending with students applauding for the director, students expressed satisfaction about the event. Kim Min Hyeo (’09, Chemical and Biomedical Engineering) said, “I would have wanted to hear more deeply about his films, but it was still a great experience. A chance to meet one of my personal heros.”
