At 11:00 A.M. of July 15 in Jamsil Main Stadium, Korea University (KU) lost the rugby game of the Annual Ko-Yon Games against Yonsei University (YU). Final Score: YU 15-13 KU.

The game started at 11:00 A.M. YU scored a try on the sixth minute of the first half. Taking the lead early in the game, YU took the momentum of the game to their side. KU got back in the game when Ryoo Jae Hyuk (’12, Physical Education) scored a penalty kick on the 19th minute of the first half. However, YU strengthened their lead just four minutes later when Park Jong Yeol (‘09, Yonsei University) scored a try and Yoo Hee Bum (‘09, Yonsei University) contributed by successfully scoring the conversion kick. KU caught up three more points at the very end of the first half when Ryoo scored another penalty kick.

The second half started at 12:00 P.M. KU struggled to bring the momentum back to their side. Focusing on quickly advancing to the other side, KU drew a knock-on foul from YU. Using this opportunity, Jang Sung Min (’11, Physical Education) succeeded in scoring a try in the 10th minute. With Ryu Jae Hyuk scoring the conversion kick, KU topped YU 13-12. Just four minutes later, Yoo Hee Bum of YU scored a penalty kick, taking the lead back to YU. KU focused on taking the lead back by quickly advancing to their side but failed to do so. On 12:45 P.M., the referee blew his whistle and YU took the game home. Losing by only two points, KU failed to continue on its win from last year.
