KU's starting pitcher was Kim Joo Han ('12, Physical Education). Despite the fact it was his first Annual Ko-Yon Game, he has successfully pitched for KU, earning his victory. KU was the first to score. During the first inning, with a hit from Kim Jun Wan (’09, Physical Education) and a sacrifice bunt from Sa Gong Yeob (’11, Physical Education), KU came under an advantageous situation. Finally, with a brilliant hit by Kim Kyung Do (’10, Physical Education), KU could successfully take a 1-0 lead over YU.

It took a long time for KU to score after the first inning. During the fifth inning, with Hwang Seok Ho (’10, Physical Education) on the second base, Sa made a hit. The hit became a watershed for extra scoring with Hwang successfully coming back to home. In the sixth inning, thanks to Kim Jin Young (’09, Physical Education)’s hit, the lead widened to 3-0. The tension soared during seventh inning after YU's runner from first base clashed with one of KU's catchers. Bench clearing followed, lagging the game for a short amount of time. Final score: KU 3-1 YU.
