On August 31st, 3 P.M., 15 full-time professors had their retirement ceremony at Korea University’s (KU) Inchon Memorial Hall. Along with their retirement, the professors were also granted their title as an emeritus professor.

Professors that attended the ceremony include Professor Yoon Young Sup (Business Administration), Professor Kim Hong Gyu (Korean Language and Literature), Professor Jeon Sung Gi (French Language and Literature), Professor Park Sung Gyu (Classical Chinese), Professor Lee Bong Hee (Life Sciences and Biotechnology), Professor Hwang Byung Guk (Biotechnology), Professor Lee Duk Yeol (Material Science and Engineering), Professor Kim Sung Sik (Information and Management Engineering), Professor Yu Sae Hwa (Medicine), Professor Lee Ki Joo (Home Economics Education), Professor Jung Ok Boon (Home Economics Education), Professor Kim Soon Young (Nursing), Professor Oh Sae Yoon (Dental Laboratory Science and Engineering) Professor Son Yu Song (Korean Language and Literature), and Professor Jung Tae Hwan (Sociology).

KU President Byoung-Chul Kim said, "We will always remember within our hearts the wisdom and law of the world our professors taught us." He further gave his best wishes for the retiring professors hoping for this ceremony to become a new starting point for them.
