On November 27, Korea University (KU) Business School officially announced its acceptance as a regular member of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) Global Alliance. CEMS Global Alliance, currently with 30 members, is a community of the world’s most leading business schools, multinational companies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). It limits the number of permanent membership of business schools to one per country—only the most prestigious business school can be granted membership.

CEMS Global Alliance mainly focuses on two programs—global internships and CEMS Master’s in International Management (MIM). Member business schools are offered the chance to participate in internships held by global corporations, including Google, and McKinsey&Company, that work in cooperation with CEMS Global Alliance. Students who matriculate into CEMS MIM, a postgraduate degree, are given the opportunity to complete up to two semesters of education at any of the member schools of their choice.

“KU Business School has shown that not only is it the best business school in Korea, but it has also shown that it is competent among the world through achieving membership to CEMS Global Alliance,” said Kim Dong Won, the dean of KU Business School. He looks forward to all the broad opportunities that KU Business School students will be open to, including international exchanges between member schools, and experience-incorporating education.
