Korea University (KU) Graduate School of Labor Studies personnel recently announced that they will host the first session of the KU Tripartite Forum on October 2 in order to bring forth a platform that will facilitate debate on the future of the Korean society.
 
This year’s forum will feature Park Won-soon, the mayor of Seoul, who will give a lecture on the topic ‘Seoul, The Metropolitan City Where Labor is Enjoyable.’ KU Graduate School of Labor Studies has planned the forum in order to share its education abilities and research data on labor issues for the last 21 years.
 
Over 2500 alumni of KU Graduate School of Labor Studies are said to have registered as members of the forum. Notable figures not just from the field of labor but also from political spheres, business circles, field of journalism, academia, artistic community, and religious circles in the Korean society will attend the forum and participate in a discussion session together.
 
Cho Dae-yub, the head of KU Graduate School of Labor Studies commented, “The goals of the KU Tripartite Forum are promoting communication between field of labor and non-labor, leading discussion on related issues, and searching for the new vision of our society.”
