In the Multimedia Production Lab (MPL) of Korea University (KU), tutorial classes about the usage of multimedia programs are provided. An affiliated institution of the Centennial Digital Library (CDL), MPL aims to offer support to all the people in KU in lecturing and learning about some widely used programs. All tuition fees are for free.

Three types of classes are available for registration. There is a tutorial class for the DSLR camera, divided into elementary and intermediate level classes. Usage of the Premier CS5 program, which is for editing still pictures and video clips, can also be learned. Photoshop CS5 class is available as well, in which students learn how to manipulate pictures and background images of the PowerPoint program.

Anyone in KU can register by visiting the online website of CDL, in the user education page of the general board in the website. Additional information and other related sources can be accessed through the CDL Naver Café website. Those wishing to apply for person-to-person lessons or make further inquiries can contact the person in charge.

“The ability to use multimedia programs is critical in today’s campus life, its usage ranging from creating presentation materials to posters. I therefore personally welcome this opportunity very much,” said Kim Young Ah (’14, International Studies).
