The third Europe Short Film Festival is held by Korea University (KU)-Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP)-Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) European Union (EU) center. Since 1998, EU has been establishing several EU centers around Asia with the aim of improving the recognition of the EU and further researching activation of the union, and KU EU center is one of them. Then, it had partnerships with other organizations like KIEP and SBS. What distinguishes KU-KIEP-SBS EU center from other EU centers is that it produces documentary movies and plays them at Europe Short Film Festival.

The third Europe Short Film Festival, 50 short films of Europe, is held from May 15 to May 25, at Arirang cine-center and KU. For the first six days, people can participate in the festival at Arirang cine-center, and from today, KU students also can enjoy the festival at KU cinema trap which is located at their campus. Students are able to watch European documentary movies, such as Wonderland and Morning for free.

What is more, a special speech is provided to KU students by Kim Saemee, the member of a research committee of the institute of Culture and Arts Education at Kyunghee University. On May 21, she is going to give a lecture with the title “Migration, Longing for a Better Life.” For more information, visit KU-KIEP-SBS EU center located at International Studies Hall 126, or contact 02-3290-5322.
