Park Jungu (‘62, Philosophy), the current chairman of Wooshin Chemtech, made a generous donation of 500 million Korean Won (KRW) to the Korea University (KU) College of Liberal Arts. In the Research Fund Donation Agreement Ceremony held on August 9, 2023, he expressed his desire for students studying humanities at Korea University to have access to an enhanced academic environment and the ability to pursue research in the fields of liberal arts and philosophy without financial constraints. He also referred to KU as his "spiritual home" and expressed great satisfaction in being able to contribute to the advancement of KU.

This is not the first instance of his philanthropic contribution; in fact, he initiated his involvement in the advancement of KU in 2014. With the objective of nurturing talents in the intersection of humanities, he established the "Park Jungu fund" and organized a seminar on Humanities Convergence for students at KU. Furthermore, he continued making donations since 2021 towards constructing the KU Humanities Building. Kim Dong-One, the president of KU, expressed gratitude for his dedication to the College of Liberal Arts at KU and assured that his donation will be maximized to its fullest potential.
