With the ubiquity of social media applications, users are provided with a multitude of apps to use whether it be for messaging, posting photos, or the growing number of miscellaneous purposes. One of the most widely used photo and video-sharing apps is Instagram – a platform that allows users to upload, edit, and add filters to photos. Through Instagram, users can record daily moments, maintain connections with friends, and gain public interest online. With the continuing engrossment of Instagram users, The Granite Tower (GT) conducted a survey of 108 Korea University (KU) students to discover their purposes for using Instagram.
