For more than 20 years, Young Chul Burger was loved by Korea University (KU) students for its delicious burgers and sandwiches filled with fresh vegetables and stir-fried meat.

Owned by Uncle Lee Young-chul, the burger restaurant recently partnered with E-mart’s subsidiary, Emart24, as part of the “273 Youth Bus” campaign. Emart24 has been selling the popular Young Chul Street Burger at 3,800 KRW (South Korean Won) since September 30. The marketing campaign is expected to last approximately six months.

Besides the flavorful food, Young Chul Burger is well known for its yearly tradition of giving scholarships to students who need financial support. In an interview with The Granite Tower (GT), Lee stated that he gathers funds from sales and donations of students and alumni. By collaborating with Emart24, he hopes to continue his tradition of supporting the students and sending warmth to the KU community. Lee mentioned “the amount of trust given by students and alumni is immeasurable” and showed gratitude for its contribution to the restaurant’s growth.
