The Korea Herald reported on March 17 that 7.5 percent of all married couples divorced in 2021 in South Korea. On the flip side, Statistics Korea revealed that the number of Koreans who got married in 2021 was the lowest ever at 193,000. The reasons for failed marriages include an increase in individuality, greater employment opportunities for women, infidelity, and spousal neglect. The Granite Tower (GT) conducted a survey of 150 Korea University (KU) students to explore their opinions on marriage and parenting and what factors affect their decisions regarding these issues.
