The younger generation is increasingly becoming more involved with healthcare, from the personal training (PT) craze to the array of supplement pills available at every drug store. The string of phenomena where people below their 30s increasingly invest in healthcare to prevent medical predicaments before they substantially develop it is deemed as the “Early Care Syndrome.” The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and its immutable impact on the health industry may be one of the leading hands behind this phenomenon. The Granite Tower (GT) listened to the voices of 103 Korea University (KU) students to gain firsthand understanding of the methods in which college students conduct their preventive healthcare and why they do it.
