Korea University's (KU) Guro Hospital has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), or formal business agreement, with government officials of Guro District in Seoul on October 28th. The goal is to establish a Caring SOS Center in Guro City Hall in order to support discharged patients. The agreement promotes the cooperation of both organizations to provide welfare and services to patients in Guro-gu that are discharged from hospitals.

Since last year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has created the Caring SOS Center program with the goal of connecting medical institutions and both emergency as well as medical treatment.

Furthermore, the signing ceremony was attended by staff of both sides, including Lee Seong, head of Guro District Office, who stated that the Guro District will make efforts to provide welfare and other health services to residents who are presently living in Guro-gu. The director of KU's Guro Hospital, stated that KU will also provide the necessary health services in the local community areas.
