On September 27, Sejong City and Korea University (KU) Sejong Campus held a signboard hanging ceremony for the creation of Regional Leading Research Center (RLRC) based on physical rhythms. Through this development, it focuses on fostering differentiated anti-aging bio-industry, such as discovering possible materials for anti-aging based on biological clock research and upgrading technologies.

To cultivate necessary human resources in this project, Sejong City plans to invest 1.5 billion won in the span of three years from 2025 to establish an R&D cooperation system between local universities and companies. Sejong City and KU plan to lay the foundation for sustainable regional innovation and strengthen research capabilities by cultivating research groups in that region. After establishing reliable teams, they will conduct necessary research to solve the sleep disorder problem.

Yang Won Chang, the director of Sejong City's Economic Industrial Department, stated that, “This study would not only secure original technologies but also create various new businesses that combine technologies.” He also claimed that this project will add in a lot of cooperation and effort for the continuous growth of the bio industry. Kim Young, Executive Vice President for KU's Sejong Campus, stated that, “By establishing a cooperative system in various STEM fields, we will be able to foster key talents in this field as well as conducting research on differentiated anti-aging innovation.”
