On September 16, Korea University (KU) celebrated Professor Ko Yeong-sul’s (Graduate School of Life and Environment Science) 50 million won donation to the science library by hosting both ceremonies for the “Crimson Honors Club” membership and the “Ko Yeong-sul Rethink Space”. Membership in the Crimson Honors Club is limited to benefactors who have donated a sum of 100 million won and over to the school, and Professor Ko’s latest donation has him at over 130 million won, allowing him member status in the club. The seventh seminar room on the third floor of the library was also named the *Ko Yeong-sul Rethink Space* in his honor.

KU has been hosting a funding campaign for its science library since April. Initially planned to be built in the centre of KU’s Science and Engineering Campus, the science library represents the ever-changing paradigm and the constant effort that KU has made to develop its investment into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related fields.
