On May 6, Korea University (KU) held the tenth Campus Town policy council in SK Future Hall to share the Seoul Campus Town Plan 2.0 and discuss ways to further develop the Campus Town. 16 people were present at the council, including 14 university presidents, the Mayor of Seoul, and Baek Jae-hyun, an entrepreneur who has successfully found and run a company through the Campus Town in Anam-dong, KU. In addition, 35 university presidents participated the council via Youtube.

The meeting first shared the business performance of Campus Town and reported the Seoul Campus Town Plan 2.0, before discussinghow the Campus Town can be developed. “Through the council, we can share the successes and failures between universities, and learn the know-how of managing educational programs that each university is striving for,” stated Chung Jin Taek, the president of KU. As such, different universities are cooperating under the same goal, to successfully activate the Campus Town program. As businesses of the Campus Town involve both a university and the local economy, they will be a precursor to an innovative city development. Oh Se-hoon, the mayor of Seoul, announced that the Seoul city will fully support the youth, university and local region to build a successful Campus Town.
