Page Not Found — sometimes when you click to see a certain page online, this message pops up. The long story, according to Wikipedia, is that “the browser was able to communicate with a given server, but the server could not find what was requested.” The short story? You cannot access that page.

In essence, Page Not Found represents a disconnect between a desire and its satisfaction, or an obstruction. Seeing how the phrase oddly yet profoundly draws a parallel to what people universally face in their lives, Page Not Found became the underlying thought for The Granite Tower’s (GT) April issue.

The Cover Story tackles the biggest obstacle the world faces at present: COVID-19. This article explains how COVID-19 has penetrated even international politics, as well as vaccines and their science, politicization, and distribution. Providing an overview of the situation at hand, the article will allow readers to comprehend where the world is at regarding the contextual implications the drawn-out pandemic has produced. The Feature section continues to focus on the idea of obstruction, discussing school bullying, mismanaged medical waste, the line between culture and sexual harassment, and a long-tabooed historical tragedy.

So, what do you do when you encounter a Page Not Found? Refresh the page. Turn the computer off, then back on. Hell, scream at the screen. Or you find another page with the same information (probably the most reasonable course of action). The point is, you do something. GT’s April issue is filled with demanding topics that our reporters and editors chose to dissect, analyze, and write about — Now we hand it over to you.
