Professor Kim Sung Do Elected as President of Korea Association of Semiotic Studies

Professor Kim Sung Do of the Linguistics in Korea University (KU) was elected as the next President of Korea Association of Semiotic Studies (KASS) on October 13. Professor Kim has been actively participating in the field of semiotics. Having been invited as the keynote speaker at the conference of International Association of Semiotic Studies (IASS), his paper on pluralistic graphism is considered as a revolutionary methodology in the field of semiotic anthropology. Moreover, he is serving as a member of the executive committee in the International Association of Semiotic Studies (IASS) as well as Semiotica, a magazine for semiotics scholars. Now elected as the President of KASS, Professor Kim will serve for two years from January of 2013.
