While we are busy living our lives, we fail to appreciate the kindness that we receive from others. A small random act of kindness can immediately brighten up someone’s day. Why not bring a small, yet vital change to our campus?

“When we are faced with small discomfort in our lives, we look back and learnto appreciate these random kindnesses. I once hurt my leg and had to wear a castfor almost a month. I had to use crutches in both of my hands, and it was difficult forme to even open doors. I tensed my shoulders to get ready to go through the door. However, I realized that the door did not close. Somebody was holding the door whilewaiting for me to go through. Now that I think of it, there are many people who arekind enough to hold the door for the people that come later. If we learn to appreciatethese small acts of kindness, our lives will be happier.”

“One day I was walking from the Science Department toward the Liberal Artscampus. While I was walking, it started pouring, and I decided to just walk throughthe rain. On my way, I met someone from another major who was going to adifferent class. She asked me where I was going and helped me get there under herumbrella so that I would not get wet.”

“I used to live alone near campus. I decided to buy a new desk, and two of my friendshelped me carry it home. Although the three of us tried to carry it together, it was stilltoo heavy. While we were sweating, man driving a truck came by and helped carry thedesk home. I later realized he was the owner of another boarding house.”

“When I was a freshman, I didn't know where I had to go for a lecture. A random upperclass student asked me that if there was any problem. I told him that I couldn't find theclassroom, and he showed me the way. Thanks to his help, I was able to get to class ontime.”.
