From Monday, June 3rd to Wednesday, June 5th, Blood donation buses are going to be present for Korea University (KU) students to easily donate their blood to the Red Cross. Even under the hot sun, the volunteers for the blood donation buses were very enthusiastic to encourage students to participate. “Blood donation bus started from last year by the KU Social Service Organization (KUSSO) and is done three times in a year during March, June and September,” said Kim Jong Hun (’07 Japanese Language and Literature), a volunteer for this event. Two buses will be present each in the natural sciences campus and the humanities campus.

The blood donation buses are present from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. and the Red Cross provides donators Angel-in-us coffee coupons, Lotteria coupons and umbrellas. “I think it is great that the bus came all over here to our campus because students are able to easily donate blood without having to walk a long distance during summer,” said Lee Jung Hah. (’12 English language education). “Students are also able to donate blood donor card that would directly be given to children with cancer. There were a lot of donors in the past two days and I strongly encourage many KU students to participate in this event” said Kim.
