With the world full of life, spring has come. The campus is crowded with the thrilled faces of those starting a new semester. The Granite Tower (GT) recommends itself as a great guidebook for these students. Freshman can ponder which major to choose by looking at the syllabus. Moreover, stories such as Korean jang and the presidential election introduce Korea’s interesting facets to exchange students. I like how the article is written to be easily comprehensible for those without any background knowledge, so that even those who have just set foot in Korea can catch on right away.

Still, the design in the presidential election article, which has a lot of Korean without any translation into English, leaves room for improvement. The monotonous layout of the eight-page-long cover story of jang also could have been enhanced too.

This month’s GT increases the feeling of sadness I have always felt about why people do not read this great magazine. So come on, let’s hand out a copy of GT to all the freshmen and exchange students! They will bring you more happiness and satisfaction.
