Korea University (KU) President Byoung-Chul Kim invited those who entered KU in the year of 1972 to celebrate 40th anniversary of their admission. The event took place on October 18, 2012 at Hwajeong Tiger Dome starting 6:00 P.M. The event was prepared in an effort to promote school spirit and recall past memories. At this event, the class of 1972, along with professors who taught them, participated joyously.

The class thanked President Kim for his invitation and donated 72,000,000 won. The occasion ended with the participants looking around the campus and taking group photos. The ceremony was received with open arms and the class of 1972 looked forward for events like this to take place in the future.
