Korea University (KU) students now have a smartphone application just for them. The application was launched by the Korea University Students’ Association (KUSA) as a part of its promise to communicate with students. KUSA hopes that the application will be utilized by many students and is expanding the services provided by the new application.

This application is equipped with various functions including checking seats in the library, and chatting among other students. Its chatting rooms are divided into four sections allocated for different purposes like communicating with KUSA, advertising clubs, or simply talking with other students. Moreover, students can check the campus map, find out what is being served in cafeterias, and look over their daily schedules. Its most notable function is notifying students of important school events in advance with a push alarm.

The application is not fully activated at the moment. However, with a chatting room solely dedicated to listening opinions of students, KUSA hopes to communicate actively with students through the new application. Students can use the application by downloading it from application store on their smartphones. The service for android phones has started with the beginning of the second semester. The service for iPhones has started a week after the very first day of the second semester.
