At the 2012 Annual Ko-Yon Games

The 2012 Annual Ko-Yon Games held on September 14 and 15 ended in a triumphant victory for Korea University (KU). After the final whistle in the soccer match signaled KU’s victory in both the match and the annual games, the stadium was filled by the Baetnorae, KU’s victory song.

As they have always done during the last 47 years, the Jamsil Olympic Stadium and the Mokdong Ice Rink burst with the sound of wild cheering along with a huge swirl of reds and blues. On the first day of competition, KU dominated the Yonsei University (YU) with victories in baseball (3-1) and basketball (74-60). KU lost in ice hockey (1-3), but the rooters remained in their seats even after the defeat, cheering on the players. A rugby and soccer match were held on the second day. KU lost by a narrow margin in rugby (13-15). However, by winning the following soccer match (1-0), KU became the overall winner of the 2012 Annual Ko-Yon Games, 3-2.
