Rather than pursuing only the finest, a recent trend these days is shedding a light underneath them as well. The old array of hardware stores has now changed into venues of vintage wine bards and cafes, and fashion trends from decades ago are out on the streets again. Among all, Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul is the most renowned. The narrow alleys are packed with people wearing outfits of the Enlightenment period, and a long waiting line in front of every restaurant welcomes them. Ikseon-dong is now a place of coexistence: the past and the present, the deserted and the chosen.
