The bathroom renovation work of the College of Political Science & Economics, which was planned to be completed on March 31, 2017, ended several days ahead of schedule. Thanks to this renovation, students are now able to use a more pleasant bathroom. The old basins were replaced with new ones made of marble. New materials were used in the partition cubicles and bathroom interior films. In addition, seven men’s toilet and four toilet stools were installed in the men’s restroom and six toilet stools were newly added in the women’s restroom.
The renovation of the bathrooms of the College of Political Science & Economics was initiated due to the aging facilities, especially the foul odor which flew through the pipes and spread across the building. However, during the construction process, many students expressed complaints regarding the inconvenience of using the bathroom. The Design & Construction Department explained that the repair work of all six floors had to be done simultaneously to shorten the construction period, which the administration team of the College of Political Science & Economics requested. Hwang Sun Ho, the chief of the Design & Construction Department said “Our department will try our best to minimize the inconvenience of students, reduce construction periods, and ensure the safety of the students during the construction process.”
