The 49th Korea University Student Association (KUSA) Election Public Hearing took place on November 30. The running party, Eumjul, had a chance to directly communicate with the students and talk about their future plans as the next potential KUSA. The running candidates, Lee Seung Jun (’11, Psychology) and Kim Bo Hyeok (’14, Political Science and International Relations), emphasized that they will try to effectively communicate with KU students and create an atmosphere that connects every KU member.

The media within KU and students took turns raising questions about the election campaigns. Aside from specific questions regarding the welfare of disabled students, dormitory construction project, and the Crimson College (Future College) issue, Eumjul was frequently questioned about how it was going to regain faith from students after the current KUSA, Star:zari, had trouble winning public confidence. Eumjul emphasized that they “will go back to the basics” and do its best to “create a fine connection among student unions of various scales so that all students will be able to voice their opinions and become active members of the KU society.” The candidates also promised to utilize as many methods as possible to communicate with students.
