The students of Korea University (KU) finally made the Declaration of State of Affairs at the Central Plaza, on November 3. Countless students stood in rows and cried out for the resignation of the Park Geun-hye administration. The declaration had previously been scheduled for October 27, but had been postponed due to much conflicts between the students and the KU Student Association (KUSA).

The KUSA and the students repeatedly chanted, “Is This a Country? Park Administration Must Leave the Office! Unelected Power, Humiliation of State of Affairs, Punish Choi Soon-sil! Prosecute Park Geun-hye!” The presidents of colleges, including Park Hee Suk of College of Political Science and Economics, Lee Seo Ho of College of Science, Chae Hee Joo of College of Liberal Arts, made remarks on the issue of Park Geun-hye, Choi Soon-sil, and asked for the students to join the movement against the current administration.

Park Se Hoon, the 48th president of KUSA, recited the declaration which claimed, “The Korean democracy has collapsed, and the life of citizens were ignored. We, the students of Korea University, command as the sovereign of the Republic of Korea. President Park, take the responsibility of the current situation, and resign!” A candlelight vigil calling for the resignation of Park will be held at 5:00 P.M. today, at People’s Square.
