Korea University Business School (KUBS) recently held a ceremony to award a total of 37 scholarships to its students on May 24 at LG-POSCO Business Hall. Several school officials and business executives, namely Dean of KUBS Kim Dong Won and KCC Executive Yoo Jong Kyun, attended the ceremony to personally deliver scholarship certificates to the students.

KUBS retains its own independent scholarship system that is specifically designated for the students majoring in Business Administration, such as KCC Scholarships and Future Scholarships. The amount of the scholarships awarded at this year’s ceremony amounts a whopping 400 million won. For this semester, 212 students have been selected as the recipients of both school-sponsored and external scholarship, which represents 73.4% of the entire student body.

“I will study even harder now, thanks to this scholarship that will keep financial difficulties from getting in the way of my studies,” said Park Jin Wook (‘12, Business), one of the recipients at the ceremony. A strong scholarship system has traditionally been the forte of KUBS, as a comprehensive network of over 36,000 alumni continues to show their support for their school through hefty donations in the form of scholarships.
