Korea University (KU) launched Green Bazaar and Environment Talk Concert during the festival week with several student clubs. This event was held by KU in order to spread awareness of climate change and come up with creative ideas that can prevent further environment pollution.

While the issue regarding global warming and climate change has become one of the most popular topics around the world, KU has been launching various environmental events annually, starting with the first KU Green Music Festival in 2013. This year’s event is an extension of KU’s attempt to spread the awareness of global warming.

The talk concert, entitled “Climate Changes and our Lives,” took off on May 23 at the 4.18 memorial hall. Kim Ik Soo, the representative of the Daily Environment, started the talk with an anecdote, and several other notable representatives from different corporations continued the talk.

The talk became more enthusiastic as more people joined the debate. While some people blamed the faulty government for the ongoing problem, others argued that the individuals and the younger generation should take an active role in preventing global warming.

The hot debate came to an end as Park Se Hun, the president of KU Student Association (KUSA), made a closing remark saying, “Environmental problems should be considered whenever public lives are being discussed,” and that these problems “should be discussed public-wise.”
