Kee Hyoung Lee, the President of Korea University (KU) Anam Hospital, has been awarded the “2016 Best Executive of Korea Social Contribution Sector Grand Prize.” He received acknowledgement for his leadership and contribution to society through the realization of humanitarian values through his practice of medicine.

 

Best Executive of Korea Grand Prize is awarded each year to those who have taken the lead in the economic development of Korea in over ten fields. Each nominee goes through a rigorous assessment process that involves the appraisal of their work in over ten different fields that include management philosophy and performance.

 

Dr. Lee received accolades for his outstanding leadership skills that pioneered balanced development of Korea as well as his achievement as a trailblazer for the development of the domestic medical industry. His pro bono medical service projects for those placed in a “medical blind spots” were also highly acclaimed. For example, the KU Anam Hospital has provided free medical examinations for saeteomin since 2008, treating nearly 1000 such patients.
